We highly recommend that you plan in an exercise session following your appointment. You should also avoid sauna's, hot showers, caffeine and alcohol for a few days following your treatments and drink more than plenty of water both before and after your treatment.

Radiofrequency skin tightening stomach treatment employs the use of a specialised device that emits radiofrequency waves to heat the deeper layers of the skin.

 

This controlled heating stimulates the production of collagen and elastin fibres, promoting skin tightening and firmness. Over time, as new collagen forms, the skin texture improves and a reduction in sagging and loose skin can be noticed. Overall the stomach appears more toned and youthful than before.

Radiofrequency can also stimulate fat reduction and improve the appearance of cellulite, especially when the treatment is paired with ultrasound cavitation. At our clinic we only offer combination treatments, which can then be adjusted to help reach your specific body goals. 

Safety of radiofrequency treatments

Radiofrequency and ultrasound cavitation tightening treatments are relatively safe and only few side effects are likely following treatment.

Side effects can include temporary skin sensitivity, redness and minor bruising. There is no downtime following treatment. However, for best results we do recommend that you follow our aftercare advice. This advice includes that you avoid hot showers, baths and sauna's for a few days, as well as alcohol and excessive amounts of caffeine and processed foods.  The healthier you are, the better the results will be.

  • Liver or kidney problems

  • Heart or lung conditions

  • Hernia or weak stomach muscle walls

  • Invasive surgery in the past 12 months

  • Those with a pacemaker or other implanted electrical equipment

  • Those reliant on artificial heart/lung machines, portable ECG equipment or similar

  • Frostbite Intolerance

  • Hypoproteinaemia (high levels of protein in the blood)

  • Bleeding disorders, haemophilia, other clotting disorders or use of blood thinners

  • Epilepsy 

  • Thyroid conditions and hormonal imbalances 

  • Immune system disease (HIV or AIDS)

  • Urticarial or other immune disorders

  • Untreated or severe diabetes

  • Pregnancy and immediately after birth (3-6 months for normal birth and 6-12 months for C-section) or breastfeeding

  • Sufferers of physiological hypotonic (lacking in muscle tone/muscle or tissue wastage)

  • Untreated hyper or hypotension (high or low blood pressure)

  • Cardiovascular or cerebral diseases (issues with blood flow to the heart or brain)

  • Cancer

  • High cholesterol

  • Thrombosis (past or present)

  • Undiagnosed swelling or inflammation 

  • Current fever

  • Metal plates, joint or artificial implants in the treatment area
